Buku Langkah Cerdas Mencegah Hipertensi disusun sebagai media edukasi kesehatan yang bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya pekerja, terhadap hipertensi sebagai salah satu masalah kesehatan utama yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup dan produktivitas. Buku ini membahas konsep dasar hipertensi secara sistematis, meliputi pengertian, gejala, patofisiologi, klasifikasi, faktor risiko, dampak, serta pentingnya deteksi dini, kemudian mengaitkannya dengan tantangan kesehatan di lingkungan kerja, termasuk pengaruh kondisi kerja dan stres terhadap kejadian hipertensi serta peran upaya kesehatan kerja dalam pengendaliannya.
Selain itu, buku ini menguraikan strategi pencegahan hipertensi melalui penerapan perilaku hidup sehat, seperti pengendalian pola makan, aktivitas fisik teratur, istirahat yang cukup, pengelolaan stres, pemeriksaan tekanan darah secara rutin, dan kepatuhan terhadap anjuran tenaga kesehatan. Pada bagian akhir, ditekankan pentingnya penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang sehat sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif berkelanjutan untuk menjaga kesehatan pekerja dan mendukung kesehatan sepanjang usia.
